  • Dr. Alex Simpson

    DVM

    Dr. Alex Simpson grew up in the small town of Prague, Oklahoma. He started working at a veterinary clinic in his early teens and went on to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian at Oklahoma State University. After graduating in 2016 he returned to home to serve the area’s animals with expert, loving care. Dr. Simpson enjoys all aspects of working in a mixed animal practice, and he especially loves working with large animals. During his studies at Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Simpson worked on world-renowned Thoroughbred stud farms in Ireland. After graduating in 2016 he returned to home to serve the area’s animals with expert, loving care. Dr. Simpson enjoys all aspects of working in a mixed animal practice, and he especially loves working with large animals. In his free time, Dr. Simpson enjoys spending time with his wife Taylor, all their furry kids, and taking care of their farm.

  • Dr. Jared Nenninger

    DVM

    Dr. Jared Nenninger graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2020. Upon graduating, Dr. Nenninger completed a year-long rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Blue Pearl in Cary, NC. Dr. Nenninger has professional interests in small animal soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, as well as canine reproduction. Dr. Nenninger was born in Missouri and raised in Texas. After high school, he served in the United State Army and completed a tour in Iraq. Dr. Nenninger moved to Oklahoma in 2011 with his wife Caroline. Together they have a son named Hoy. Dr. Nenninger and his family have 3 dogs at home: Layla, a pit mix; Lexi, a chiweenie; and the newest edition Chili, a French bulldog. In addition to dogs, Dr. Nenninger has a small heard of goats, a few head of cattle and laying hens. Dr. Nenninger enjoys spending free time with family and working on his homestead.

    DVM

    Dr. Kody Silas is a graduate of Oklahoma State University-College of Veterinary Medicine, after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science at Oklahoma State University with Honors. His passion is treating both livestock and small animals with an interest in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Silas grew up heavily involved in 4-H and FFA, showing cattle across the state of Oklahoma. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and shooting sports. He is looking forward to serving the clients and patients at Shawnee Animal Hospital.
